Alison Arngrim is taking a trip down memory lane and revisiting her time on Little House on the Prairie.
Appearing on an episode of The Patrick LabyorSheaux podcast, Arngrim reflected on the challenging filming conditions of the beloved series.
The series was shot in Simi Valley, Southern California.
Branding the location as relentlessly hot, she recalled, “It was the hottest location in the entire world. [It] was so hot.”
For those unversed, Arngrim famously played the spoiled and sharp-tongued Nellie Oleson on the hit NBC show.
She shared that the cast and crew had to take extreme measures just to cope with the heat while filming outdoors.
“It was so hot that they would have these buckets of ice water and Sea Breeze so that you could dip some sort of cloth in and put around your neck,” she explained.
The actress then joked about how predictable the heat-related toll became during production.
“You know how people say the first day of spring [is] when you see a robin?” Arngrim quipped.
“The first day of summer is when Alison hits the ground because I was out like that.”
“It was that hot,” he concluded.
