Sigourney Weaver has revealed she once penned a five-page love letter to John Lennon.
The 76-year-old American actress recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her newly released film Avatar: Fire and Ash.
For those unaware, Weaver is playing the role of Kiri, the daughter of Dr. Grace Augustine’s Na’vi avatar, who was adopted by Jake and Neytiri in Avatar: Fire and Ash.
During the questionnaire segment on the show, she opened up about her love for The Beatles.
The Ghostbusters star did not stop there as she walked down memory lane and confessed that she loves the rock band, especially Lennon.
Weaver also shared that she once poured her heart into writing a letter spanning multiple pages for Lennon.
Calling to mind, she said, “I think I was too shy, but I did leave — again for John Lennon — I wrote a several-page letter on lavender stationery with purple ink, [which began] ‘Dear John….”
“It was like five pages front and back. And I folded it up. I put an envelope, and I dropped it off at this restaurant that I heard he went to,” the Copycat actress shared and went on to cover her face with her hands due to embarrassment.
However, Weaver has forgotten what she wrote in that letter but she wished it would not get to him.
“I hope they threw it away,” she said.
