Ariana Grande hints at surprise-filled tour comeback: ‘I’m excited’

Ariana Grande is all set for her next chapter in music.

The singer and actress, who is just concluding her Wicked: For Good’s press tour, got seven nominations at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards on January 4.

In a recent chat with E! News at the award ceremony in Santa Monica, Ariana revealed that preparations for her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour, her first tour in six years, are already underway.

“I’ve been working on the set list for months now,” she said. “It’s in a good place, but we’ll never know until we get into the rehearsals—which are starting very soon—and we put things on their feet if it’ll make sense or not.”

Keeping the details to herself, Ariana noted, “I want to let it be a surprise,” she added.

Despite returning to tour after a few years, Ariana affirmed that nothing has changed and she is “the same person.”

“I am grateful to work, and I’m excited for the tour.”

This came after Ariana hosted Saturday Night Live with her pal and Wicked co-star Bowen Yang, and supported him as the December 21 episode of the comedy show was Bowen’s last show.

“It was really special,” she told the outlet about Bowen’s final episode. “I was really grateful, because I really just wanted to celebrate him and be there to support him, and I love him so much, and we’re real friends for life. He’s just so incredible.”
