Marcello Hernandez has no plans to give up on his Saturday Night Live characters, especially fan favorite Domingo.
During a recent chat with E! News at the red carpet of the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on January 4, the 28-year-old comedian gave reassurance about his plan to stay at the comedy skit show, “I’m there, I’m there, I’m there,”
Marcello admitted that he is loving his time on the long-running show, he said, “I’m having fun, bro. It’s a crazy job and you get to meet so many crazy people and I love it.”
As his fellow cast member Bowen Yang said goodbye to the show last, Marcello paid tribute to him, stating, “I look at it like sports. That’s a guy who put up numbers. Consistent, always putting up big sketches and he had a distinct voice, and everybody loves him.”
“It’s for a reason,” he added. “He’s a hard worker, I saw him behind the scenes grinding every week. It’s a guy to learn from, for sure,” he explained.
While sharing his excitement at the ceremony, Marcello shared that he is thrilled to meet his favorite people.
“I saw Rhea [Seehorn] from Pluribus, freaked out, I have my whole family on that right now. Everybody, dude. It’s funny, you watch all these shows, my mom is a serial series watcher. So I’m trying to get a couple of selfies for her,” he said, adding, “I’m getting it done.”
