Jennifer Lopez is entering the new year single, nearly a year after finalising her divorce from Ben Affleck.
Amid previous rumours of a friends-with-benefits status with Affleck, the actress-singer is now said to be prioritising her personal and professional life.
A source tells People that the 56-year-old singer and actress is not dating and is instead focused on her career and her children, including her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
According to the source, “It’s all about work and the kids for her,” adding that Lopez appears “happy and content.”
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, 2024, listing April 26 as their separation date. The divorce was finalised in January, nearly two years after the couple celebrated a second wedding ceremony in Georgia following their intimate Las Vegas nuptials in July 2022.
The marriage marked a reunion for the pair, who were previously engaged in the early 2000s before rekindling their romance in 2021.
In an October 2024 interview with Interview magazine, Lopez said she was embracing single life after years of challenging relationships.
She announced at the time that she was not actively looking for a partner.
Speaking separately on The Howard Stern Show, she also said she considers herself old-fashioned when it comes to dating and does not plan to use dating apps, while emphasizing a key personal takeaway: that past relationship issues were not a reflection of her worth.
