Taylor Swift on ‘The Life of a Showgirl’: ‘I’m really obsessed with it’

Taylor Swift has a massive fanbase known as ‘Swifties,’ so when she says she is “obsessed” with The Life of a Showgirl, it’s expected that her fans will make the album go viral again.

Already at the top of the Billboard 200 for weeks, her latest comment will fuel the album’s rise in the coming weeks.

As for her remarks, they came during her appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The host, who often asked the top five favourite songs of megastars such as Dolly Parton, Elton John, Paul Simon, and Bruce Springsteen, also put the question to the 14-time Grammy winner.

Taylor did not outright share the list; instead, she added that her rankings “are constantly changing,” and that she would need “a little time to get back to him on all five.”

“I think number one is ‘All Too Well,’ the 10-minute version,” the pop icon continues. “I’m really obsessed with ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ the whole album.”

Interestingly, the 35-year-old also lists an unexpected track, Mirrorball. This would come as a surprise to fans because the song, unlike her previous mentions, is not among her most popular.

“I can’t really do any of the others, except I will say somewhere in the list, I think, is going to be a song called ‘Mirrorball,’ from the ‘Folklore’ album.”

“You know, it came on the other day. A friend sent it to me, and she was talking about it, and I put it on, and then you asked me this question, so I said it,” she concludes.
